What it is

A sign you can talk to.

Voice AI signage lets a visitor speak to a sign the way they would speak to a member of staff: “Is the car park open after ten?”, “How do I get to ward 12?”, “Which exit for the taxi rank?” The sign understands the question, answers in the same language, and takes follow-ups.

It is conversational signage rather than digital signage. Nothing scrolls, nothing flashes, nothing has to be read. The visitor asks, the sign answers, and the interaction is recorded so you can see what people actually need.

Behind the interaction

Vox Net: configuration, analytics and AI Workflows.

Every Omnie Vox sign is managed in Vox Net. Configure the welcome message, voice, pace and phrasing remotely. Upload documents, web pages and opening times as the knowledge the sign answers from. Add a floor plan or street map and Vox Net scans it, finds every point of interest and builds the routes for spoken wayfinding.

Live analytics show what people ask, when, in which language and with what sentiment. Conversation history keeps every exchange. AI Workflows connect the sign to live data sources through MCP so that a timetable answer is right now, not last week. Alerts route specific requests to the right person.

In practice

A busy station at rush hour.

Platform changes are announced over a tannoy nobody can hear. At a Vox Post by the barriers a commuter asks which platform the 17.42 leaves from and hears “platform six, changed from four, on time”, pulled live by an AI Workflow. Next to her, a visitor asks the same in Arabic, and a passenger with sight loss asks for the assistance point. Talking signs built with Vox Kit on the platforms answer the same questions closer to the train.

FAQ

Voice AI signage: common questions

What is voice AI signage?

Signage that understands spoken questions and answers them in natural language. Omnie Vox voice AI signage runs on ready-to-install voice points, on hardware fitted to your existing signs, or from a QR code, all managed in Vox Net.

How is AI signage different from digital signage?

Digital signage shows content; voice AI signage holds a conversation. It answers the specific question the visitor has, in their language, and can draw on live data such as timetables and opening hours.

What data does it use to answer?

Your own content: maps and floor plans, documents, web pages and opening times, uploaded to Vox Net. AI Workflows connect it to live sources through MCP (Model Context Protocol), so answers reflect what is happening right now.

Is it accessible?

Yes. Voice-first, screen-free and multilingual by design, with calm, step-by-step guidance for neurodivergent visitors. It supports BS 8300 and Equality Act 2010 duties.

Can I see what people ask?

Yes. Vox Net keeps a full conversation history and live analytics by topic, time, sentiment and language.
